Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and us for the hosted Flow at flow.humantech.ch and the Flow app for iPhone when it's connected to it. Please read them; by creating an account you accept them.
Who we are
Flow is run by Massimo Brivio, trading as Humantech, Zurich, Switzerland (see the Impressum). Write to us at hey@humantech.ch.
The service
Flow is a private place to note opportunities and decide which to commit to. You need an account, with an email address you can receive mail at, and you must be old enough to accept these terms where you live. One account is for one person; keep your password to yourself. What you do with API tokens you create is done in your name.
Free trial and subscription
The hosted Flow is free for now. If we start charging to cover the hosting, accounts made while it was free stay free, and we'll email you before anything changes. What follows applies to new accounts from then on.
- Flow is free for the first 14 days. You give a payment method when you start the trial; nothing is charged during it. If you don't cancel before it ends, your subscription starts and the first payment is taken. The trial comes with your first subscription only: if you subscribe again later, the first payment is taken when you do.
- You choose monthly or yearly billing. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page in your currency, with VAT or sales tax included or added as is usual where you live.
- If we change the price, we email you at least 30 days before it applies, and it applies only from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
Paddle, our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it sells you the subscription, takes the payment, charges the tax and sends the receipts and invoices. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about payments and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time in Flow, under Settings → Manage subscription. You keep full use of Flow until the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing more is charged. After that, your account becomes read-only: everything you wrote stays there to read and to take with you, until you subscribe again or delete it. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Your content
What you write in Flow is yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it and show it to you, and we don't use it for anything else, as the privacy policy explains. You can take it all with you at any time through Flow's API, and delete it with your account.
Fair use
Don't use Flow to break the law or anyone's rights, to store what isn't yours to store, to attack or overload the service, to get at other people's accounts, or to resell access to it. If you do, we may suspend or close your account; except in urgent cases, we'll tell you first and give you the chance to take your data.
Availability
We work to keep Flow running and your data safe, with encrypted connections and daily backups, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable or never fail. Flow is updated from time to time; features may change.
If we stop offering Flow
We'll tell you at least 60 days ahead, refund the part of a payment that covers time after the end, and leave you the time to take your data. Flow is free software, so you can also run it yourself.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time in Settings. It's deleted at once with everything in it, and a subscription that would renew is cancelled at the same moment, so nothing more is charged.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we're liable only for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and not for indirect damage or lost profit. Otherwise our liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the damage. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the new version is published here with a new date. If a change matters to you, we email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Zurich, Switzerland, have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country and can go to its courts.
